## Description

Koimori is a gentle desktop idle companion for Windows and macOS. Tiny koi wander
across your screen while you work or relax, offering cute and comforting company
without distracting you.

Designed to blend seamlessly into your day, Koimori is non-obtrusive: no
pings or demands to tend to. Interact when you feel like it, otherwise your koi
will quietly drift around in soothing movements.

## History

Koimori began as a gift made over a week for the developer's girlfriend. After seeing it
used regularly, the project grew into a full-fledged desktop app with more
features and better performance.

## Planned Features

- Always-on-top window for single screens (supports multiple virtual desktops on macOS)
- Koi that wander in and out of the screen, often staying near the edges in a non-obtrusive way
- A variety of koi colors, patterns, and shapes to unlock
- Drop snacks to gather koi around you with a non-punitive hunger system
- Edge-algae you can drop so koi nibble whenever they feel hungry
- Playful focus helpers such as a koi-themed pomodoro timer
- Low-power usage thanks to hardware acceleration
